Interview Instructions and Directions - 

NOTE:  NPPS works on many positions throughout the year.  While we hope that everyone is qualified and interested in interviewing, NPPS cannot and does not guarantee that you will be found qualified or that the position will remain open at any particular time.   

- Getting the Interview - 

1.  Email or Fax your resume to NPPS (314-426-0707) if you haven't already done so.

2.  Read all of the Client's website and Client info on this site.

3.  Read the the THE  ASSISTANT  MANAGER POSITION  and YOUR  CAREER .

4.  We may require you to actually go and visit your nearest store prior to the actual employment interview.  We will advise you if that is necessary for you. During that visit you will be asked to speak with the Manager/Assistant Manager on duty.

Tell them you were sent by NPPS and are interested in the Assistant Manager Position.

Ask any and all questions you feel you need to in order to determine whether you are serious about a new career. 

5.  Contact 1-2 business references that NPPS will be able to contact later if you are chosen for a final interview. 
      (NO ONE WILL CONTACT YOUR REFERENCES BEFORE ASKING YOUR PERMISSION)

A business reference is a Direct Supervisor or Training Manager

Be sure and get their Full Name, Title, Phone Number and hours of work. 

6.  Call NPPS to try and schedule an interview.  Have your available schedule ready.

- BEFORE THE INTERVIEW - 

1.  Call NPPS and confirm the interview arrangements at least 24 hours prior to your scheduled appointment.

2.  Arrive at the interview at least 15 minutes before the scheduled time.  Make sure that you leave yourself enough travel time in case of unexpected delays.  If you are running late, be sure and call NPPS immediately.

3.  Dress Properly - Suit and Tie for men.  Business Suit or Business Attire for women.

Well Groomed - Neatly/clean shaven. -  No excessive jewelry .

4.  Be prepared to fill out a formal application at the interview.  Bring your resume and any address or contact information that could be helpful.  

5.  We are looking for hard working, HONEST, motivated people.  Please do not lie or exaggerate.  Just tell the interviewer the truth.  

Be prepared to explain where necessary:

Your work history and duties, including dates of employment.

Your success or lack of success at your previous jobs.

bullet

Your education background and goals.

Why you left your previous position(s).

Why you feel you would be good for this job.

Why you want to work for this great company.

- AFTER THE INTERVIEW -

1.  Contact NPPS immediately after the interview.  1-800-264-6777, free from any phone. Do not wait.  They will be following up with us for your feedback.

2.  Allow at least 3 days for any direct response or decisions.  NPPS will try and move as fast as possible to give you an answer, but these things can take time to get through all the candidates.

3.  If it has been 72 hours, please call NPPS to see if we have an update for you. We could very well be trying to reach you.  

4.  If you receive an offer, it may come directly from the employer or be relayed through NPPS. You will be offered the ability to give 2 weeks notice to your current employer.
